I posted this to the Facebook page and thought I'd share it here in case anyone wanted to visit the Tupelo ARC meeting Thursday night. Looks like a great presentation from Joe Moffatt. Joe-Joe always puts on a good show.

====================================================
Good Monday Afternoon,
Joe Moffatt will be doing a program at this month's TARC meeting. It will happen, this Thursday night, 7pm, at Tupelo airport meeting room located in the UAM Building at 118 Lemons Drive. The program will be on propagation and how to optimize your stations antennas and tower height.
Joe states, "The presentation is how to use HFTA software, HF Terrain Assessment. The software can take any location and assess the local terrain and predict the effect it will have on HF antennas in any direction based on the type of antenna and height above ground. In practical terms, it is used to evaluate the best location and optimum antenna height at any given HF frequency in any given direction. This is HIGHLY useful for those interested in DX or contesting. It is also very useful in local US HF use if anyone is planning on putting up a tower on their property. The most practical thing it can do is predict whether a tower is going to be effective for HF before you spend money to build it and realize it is a so-so performer because of local terrain that you might not have thought about".
You don't want to miss this presentation. I hope to see each of you this Thursday night. All interested in this, please come. This is not just a TARC meeting but a meeting for all amateur operators plus those just interested in this amazing technology.
Blessings,
