Good evening all. Sorry for the delay, echolink node kb5nmb-r and the waterway traffic monitor are back up. It appears the network is still down at the clubhouse as I cannot remote into the APRS I-Gate. I will go up there and check on things maybe this evening or tomorrow. Hoping the network is back up but the pc did not auto login. May need a reboot. Will update when I know more.

Network down in club room
Network is down at the club room so APRS system is offline. Will update if it comes back online. It’s a watch and see game as we don’t get any alert. I discovered it by checking the weather page for local temperature, there was no update in the last 8 hrs.
Fulton Echolink node off air
Due to an issue in my shack, self induced, the 145.450 Echolink node, kb5nmb-r is down. I hope to have it back up early in the week.

Thursday night Weather Net - FULTON REPEATER
Good afternoon, everyone,
This is a friendly reminder to all local amateurs.
The local SkyWarn weather net meets every Thursday evening at 7:00 PM on the Fulton repeater, 145.450 MHz (–0.6 offset) with a PL tone of 192.8, unless otherwise announced.
Thanks to Jeff, KB5NMB, EchoLink access is now available for the 145.450 repeater. Simply download the EchoLink app, register, and connect to the KB5NMB-R node (463411). Please note there is a slight delay between the repeater and the EchoLink connection, so be patient and avoid rushing the QSO.
We look forward to hearing everyone tonight (Thursday) at 1900 CST. 73 to all!
Please help spread the word to your friends and fellow hams. If someone is not currently on our email list, have them send an email to nemra.inc@gmail.com with the subject line “add to email” requesting to be added to the general mailing list for club announcements. That’s all that’s required.

Local Simulated Emergency Training (SET)
📻 NEMRA Simulated Emergency Test (SET)
Thursday, September 17, 2026 • 8:00 PM
Following our regular local Emergency Weather Practice Net, NEMRA will conduct a Simulated Emergency Test (SET) on the national VHF simplex frequency of 146.520 MHz.
This exercise is designed to simulate emergency communications using VHF radios without the assistance of a local repeater. Our goal is to evaluate our effective simplex coverage and determine how well stations throughout the area can communicate when normal infrastructure may not be available due to circumstances such as power loss, internet outages, repeater failure, or other emergencies.
📡 We Need Your Participation
Everyone in the area is encouraged to participate if you are available.
Please:
• Listen for the SET on 146.520 MHz
• Attempt to make contact with Net Control
• If you cannot reach Net Control directly, try using another station as a relay
• Once contact is established, please check in and get you callsign on the book
Your participation will help us build a better understanding of our local VHF simplex coverage and identify areas where communication may be limited.
This is not intended to become a weekly or monthly net. This is a special exercise intended to give us a practical snapshot of our communication capabilities without a repeater and under adverse conditions.
So, if you are local and available Thursday evening, please listen, participate, and make a contact if you are able. Every station that checks in provides valuable information for the exercise.
Thank you for supporting NEMRA and helping strengthen our local emergency communications capabilities.
