October 2018 meeting
Our Monthly Meeting is this coming Tuesday night, Tuesday October 9th, 2018 at our meeting room located at the Old Fulton Grammar School located at 603 South Cummings Street in Fulton, MS. The entrance will be on the south side of the building, or the right side of the building if you are looking at the front doors. There is also parking in the back and is accessed from S Clifton Street. ((((We have a new air conditioner and it will be comfortable for the meeting so 'heat' will not be an excuse for not coming.))))
We will begin at the normal time of 6:45 PM and will be discussing old business, new business, etc. Also it's that time of the year to start looking into the 2019 NEMRA Club officers and a nominating committee will be designated to follow through with this. If you want to volunteer please let me know prior to the meeting.
Please, please, PLEASE, everyone try and attend the meeting. Our attendance has gone way down during the summer and we need to try and pick it back up if possible. Try and bring a friend, member or not, to the meeting and program.
The program will be on "repurposing of old computer power supplies for amateur radio use". We are going to go over how to take an old computer power supply and use it for a power supply for ham radio applications. I am going to have 2-3 power supplies and we are going to modify them at the meeting to show how easy is it to get a usable 12 volt power supply to use with mobile type VHF-UHF transceivers as a base or any other application you might find useful.
We look forward to seeing those who can make it out. Take care and God Bless. 73 - Bobby
